Biography:
Matthew Rhys was born on November 8, 1974 in Cardiff, Wales, UK. He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. While in RADA, he acted in the British series Back-Up and in the Welsh film House of America. In 1999, he played Ray Smith in the movie Whatever Happened to Harold Smith? and portrayed Demetrius in Titus that same year.
In the 2000s, he appeared in the films Shooters, The Abduction Club, Deathwatch, and Fakers. In 2006, he gained mainstream recognition after getting the role of Kevin Walker on the television series Brothers & Sisters, which he played from 2006 to 2011. During his time on the show, he simultaneously starred in the films The Edge of Love and Love and Other Disasters. As of 2013, he stars as Philip Jennings in The Americans.
