Biography:
Abbie Cornish was born on August 7, 1982 in Lochinvar, New South Wales, Australia. She began modeling at the age of 13, when she reached the finals of a Dolly Magazine competition.
When she was 15, she had her first acting job in the series Children’s Hospital. She was then awarded the Australian Film Institute Young Actor’s Award for her performance in the television show Wildside.
In 2000, she landed the role of Mickey Norris in her feature film debut, The Monkey’s Mask. She became widely prominent in 2004, starring in Somersault, as well as in the 2009 film Bright Star.
