During the 1990s, he became active on television, starring as Dr. Rajesh Rajah in the British medical drama series Cardiac Arrest. He later played Dez in Band of Gold and Sunil Davdra in The Bill. In the 2000s, he played Andy Fishman in Holby City, Dave Dhillon in Grease Monkeys, and Jayesh Parekh in Coronation Street. From 2008 to 2011, he starred as Haresh Chandra in The Sarah Jane Adventures. The actor also became known for his portrayal of Yusef Khan in EastEnders.
