Biography:

Adam Rodríguez was born on April 2, 1975 in Yonkers, New York, United States. He had originally aspired to become a baseball player. His injury in high school led him to shift his interest into acting, after which he performed in a children’s theater in New York. He made his television debut in an episode of NYPD Blue. At the same time, he played the role of Officer Hector Villanueva on Brooklyn South from 1997 to 1998.

He then had recurring roles on Felicity, Resurrection Blvd., All Souls and Roswell. He then got his mainstream breakthrough after landing the role of CSI Level 3: Eric “Delko” Delektorsky on CSI: Miami. While on the show, he also had a recurring part as Bobby Talercio on Ugly Betty. After CSI: Miami had ended, he had recurring roles on The Goodwin Games, The Night Shift, Jane the Virgin and Empire. He also starred on the short-lived series Reckless. He recently joined the main cast of Criminal Minds as Luke Alvez.
