Adina Porter is an American actress. She had her career beginnings in the early ’90s. During her career start, she had guest appearances on such TV shows as New York Undercover and Brooklyn South. In 1992, she made her film debut with a small role in Swoon. Her first credited role was in 1999’s Body Shots. In the 2000s, she had her first notable role on television, playing Gwen Walker on American Dreams. She also performed in the films The Fluffer and Pipe Dream. She later gained wider recognition for her role as Lettie Mae Thornton on HBO’s True Blood. At the same time, she played Kendra James on The Newsroom.
