Biography:
Adriana Lima was born on June 12, 1981 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. At the age of 15, she joined the Ford “Supermodel of Brazil” contest and finished in first place.
She subsequently entered the 1996 Ford “Supermodel of the World” Contest and finished in second place.
She gained notoriety as a model, appearing in international editions of Vogue and Marie Claire. She has also walked the runways for such designers as Vera Wang, Giorgio Armani and Valentino.
She went on to make her acting debut in the 2001 film The Follow, alongside Mickey Rourke and Forest Whitaker.
