Biography:

Afshan Azad was born on 12 February 1989 in Longsight, Manchester, England. She is of Bangladeshi descent. In her later life, she attended Xaverian College. During her teeens, Azad began her acting career after landing the role of Padma Patil in 2005’s Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

She reprised her role in the subsequent Harry Potter films. She starred in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix in 2007 and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince in 2009. She also continued playing the role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2.
