Biography:

Aja Naomi King was born on January 11, 1985 in Los Angeles, California, U.S.. After high school, she attended the University of California, Santa Barbara. After graduating with a degree in Acting, she took up her Master’s degree at Yale University. There, she performed n multiple stage productions. She made her debut in 2008, first acting in short films.

In 2010, she made her TV debut in an episode of Blue Bloods. The following year, she made her cinematic debut in Damsels in Distress. Her first regular role on television was as Cassandra Kopelson on the short-lived series Emily Owens, M.D.. Her breakthrough role was as Michaela Pratt on the hit series How to Get Away with Murder, a role she stars in up to now.
