Biography:
Alba Rohrwacher was born on February 27, 1979 in Florence, Italy. She began her acting career in her native Italy, making her debut in 2004’s L’amore ritrovato. Three years after, she played the role of Violetta in My Brother is an Only Child, followed by Days and Clouds, for which she a David di Donatello for Best Actress and an Italian Golden Globe Award for Best Actress Revelation.
Subsequently, she was critically praised for her performances in the films The Man Who Will Come, Come Undone, and The Solitude of Prime Numbers. Her portrayal of Mina in 2014’s Hungry Hearts then won her a Volpi Cup for Best Actress, as well as an Italian Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. She will star in the upcoming movie Tale of Tales, her first English-language feature film.
