Biography:

Alessandra Ambrosio was born on April 11, 1981 in Erechim, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. At the age of 12, she enrolled at a modeling class, and became one of the finalists for the 1996 Elite Model Look two years later.

She graced the cover of Brazilian Elle Magazine. She has since appeared in advertisements for Revlon, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani and Ralph Lauren.

She has also walked the runway for designers such as Prada, Chanel and Oscar de la Renta.

She went on to venture into acting by making guest appearances in such television shows as How I Met Your Mother and Entourage.
