Alex Lawther is an English actor. He had his career beginnings in the 2010s. He debuted as the title role in the docudrama Benjamin Britten: Peace and Conflict. In 2014, he made his cinematic debut portraying the young Alan Turing in The Imitation Game. He also starred in the film X+Y. On TV, he first appeared in an episode of Holby City. He also guest-starred in Black Mirror and performed in the miniseries Howards End. From 2017 to 2019, he gained wider recognition for his lead role The End of the F***ing World. His other films include Goodbye Christopher Robin, Freak Show, and Ghost Stories. He recently starred in the movies The Translators and The French Dispatch.
