Alex Pettyfer was born on April 10, 1990 in Stevenage, Hertfordshire, England. He started his career as a child model, appearing for ad campaigns for Gap and Ralph Lauren.

In 2005, he made his professional acting debut in Tom Brown’s Schooldays. That same year, he made his breakthrough role as Alex Rider in Stormbreaker.

For his performance, he received a Young Artist Awards nomination for Best Performance in an International Feature Film Leading Young Actor or Actress

He has since starred in other films, including Wild Child, Tormented, I Am Number Four, Beastly, In Time, Magic Mike, and The Butler.
