Biography:

Alison Wright was born on 12 July 1976 in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, England. She trained in acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute. She later attended The Barrow Group. In 2007, she made her film debut in The Nanny Diaries. Her next roles were in short films. Wright went on to start her television career.

Her first role was as Martha Hanson in the FX series The Americans, which she starred in between 2013 and 2017. She also became known for her role as Marjorie in the Amazon series Sneaky Pete. In 2016, she portrayed Virginia Thomas in the TV movie Confirmation. That same year, she appeared as Justine in the film The Accountant. Her next film role was in Ask for Jane. More recently, she had performances in the shows Feud: Bette and Joan and Castle Rock. She’ll star in the upcoming series Snowpiercer.
