Allison Munn was born on October 7, 1974 in Columbia, South Carolina, U.S.. After high school, she enrolled at the The College of Charleston where she graduated. Afterwards, she moved to New York to pursue a stage career. There she became an off-Broadway actress. She made her TV debut as a recurring character on Now and Again in 1999.

She then gained recognition for her recurring role as Caroline on the sitcom That ’70s Show. Her first regular role was as Tina Haven on the comedy series What I Like About You. Subsequently, she joined the main cast of the short-lived series Carpoolers. In the late 2000s to early 2010s, she played Lauren on One Tree Hill. As of 2014, she stars as Anne Harper on Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.
