Alyssa Sutherland was born on 23 September 1982 in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Before becoming an actress, she has established herself as a model in print, television ads, and the runway. She has also been featured on the covers of Vogue Australia, Harper’s Bazaar Singapore, and many others. In 2006, she made her acting debut with a small role in the movie The Devil Wears Prada.

Her first television appearance was in an episode of New Amsterdam. As an actress, she became more active in the 2010s. During this period, she guest-starred in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her first notable role on the small screen was as Aslaug in Vikings, a role she played from 2013 to 2016. She later landed the role of Eve Copeland in the new series The Mist, which only lasted one season.
