American beauty Amanda Righetti began her Hollywood career as a child. She only however just became active when she became an adult. Working on the small screen, she had her first notable role as Hailey Nichol on The O.C.. She then had her first regular role as Tessa Lewis on North Shore. After it had been cancelled, she starred on the TV series Reunion, which also was short-lived. She ultimately got her break after landing the role of Grace Van Pelt on The Mentalist. She was part of the show’s main cast from seasons 1-6. As of 2016, she stars as Maddie on the new series Colony. As a film actress, her most notable role was in the horror film Friday the 13th.
The Mentalist actress became a mom in 2013 to a son. She said: “When I found out I was pregnant I had a whole plan, and then I had to throw it all out the window.” She was talking about her supposed-to-be workout regimen, but she focused on doing yoga instead. She stated: “I tried to do yoga about 2-3 times a week, and then I would meet with my trainer maybe once or twice a week.” Since she couldn’t work out 6-8 weeks into her pregnancy, she concentrated on consuming nutritious food. Her trainer Steve Moyer helped her with her fitness routine while pregnant.
She added: “As I started working out he was able to change the plan a little bit and then once I got off the breast feeding he continued to change the plan and to really customize it to my needs.” Hence she continued her fitness routine while pregnant, but she stopped after 7 months because of breathing issues. She said: “I think the acceptance phase didn’t really come for me until like 6 months when I really started to settle into the pregnancy a little bit, but it was really uncomfortable.” After giving birth, she started working out again, saying: “I was in the gym probably like 5-6 days out of the week for those three months.”
