Amber Tamblyn was born on May 14, 1983 in Santa Monica, California. At the age of 10, she caught an agent’s attention after a performance in “Pippi Longstocking”.
In 1995, she had her first television role as Emily Bowen-Quartermaine in the soap opera General Hospital, a role she played for six years. She then played the role of Martha M. Masters in the medical drama House.
She is also known for her portrayal of the title character in the primetime series Joan of Arcadia. Her film credits include roles in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, The Grudge 2, The Ring, and 127 Hours.
