Biography:
Amelle Berrabah was born on April 22, 1984 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England. She received a scholarship to attend the Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford.
She then gained wider recognition when she replaced Mutya Buena from Sugababes. After submitting her demos, the remaining members and their manager were impressed, later announcing for her to be the newest member of the band.
The first song to feature her vocals, “Red Dress”, peaked at No. 4 on the UK Singles Chart. The group’s fourth studio album Taller in More Ways was re-released in 2006 with her re-recorded vocals.
