Ana Golja was born on January 31, 1996 in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. She started her acting career at a young age, debuting as Lucy in the police drama 1-800-Missing. Her next role was as Penny in Flashpoint. At the beginning of the 2010s, she mostly made guest appearances in What’s Up Warthogs!, Connor Undercover, How to Be Indie, and Little Mosque on the Prairie.

In 2015, she had her first starring role playing the titular character in the TV film Full Out: The Ariana Berlin Movie. Golja’s breakout role was as Zoë Rivas in the teen series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She reprised her role as Degrassi: Next Class. In 2018, she was the co-host of Festivali i Këngës 57.
