André 3000 is an American musician and actor. He first came to prominence as part of the hip hop duo Outkast together with Big Boi. In 2003, he started his acting career debuting in the film Hollywood Homicide. He next had roles in several Hollywood films, including Be Cool, Four Brothers, Revolver, Idlewild, Fracture, Battle in Seattle, and Semi-Pro. On television, he starred as Sunny Bridges in the television series Class of 3000 from 2006 to 2008. In the 2010s, he played recurring character Michael LaCroix in American Crime. He recently stars in the new AMC series Dispatches from Elsewhere. He also portrayed Jimi Hendrix in the 2013 film Jimi: All Is by My Side.
