Biography:
Andrew James Clutterbuck, known as Andrew Lincoln, was born on September 14, 1973 in England, United Kingdom. He first became interested in acting after spending some time at the National Youth Theatre in London. He then attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts to train. He made his television debut in an episode of the British series Drop the Dead Donkey in 1994.
His first main role was as Edgar Cook in the BBC drama This Life, playing the part from 1996 to 1997. He then played the recurring role of Simon Casey in Teachers (2001-2003) and played Robert Bridge in Afterlife (2005-2006). On the big screen, he first gained recognition for playing Mark in 2003’s Love Actually. He then found greater fame after being cast for the role of Rick Grimes in The Walking Dead, a character he’s been playing since 2010.
