Biography:
Aneurin Barnard was born on 8 May 1987 in Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr – Bridgend, Wales. He attended Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and went on to finish his degree in 2008. His acting career started on stage productions. He then played brief roles in some television shows, including Y Pris, Casualty, and Doctors. Later in 2011, he made his big screen debut in Ironclad. He next had performances in the films Hunky Dory, Citadel, Elfie Hopkins, The Truth About Emanuel, Trap for Cinderella, and Mary Queen of Scots.
In 2013, he portrayed Richard III in the miniseries The White Queen. He has since starred in other miniseries, including Cilla, Killing Jesus, and War & Peace. In 2017, he played Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart in the film Interlude in Prague. That same year, he appeared in the film Dunkirk. His most recent work in movies were in The Personal History of David Copperfield, The Goldfinch, and Radioactive.
