Biography:
Annabella Sciorra was born on March 29, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York. When she was 21, she created the Brass Ring Theater Company. In 1988, she made her screen debut on the miniseries The Fortunate Pilgrim. The following year, she made her cinematic debut in the movie True Love. Subsequently, she appeared in the films Internal Affairs and Cadillac Man. She gained wider prominence for starring in Spike Lee’s Jungle Fever.
The rest of the 1990s saw her star several films. This includes Romeo Is Bleeding, The Addiction, The Cure, Underworld, and Cop Land, among others. In the 2000s, she became known on television for playing Gloria Trillo on The Sopranos. She had also starred on the short-lived series Queens Supreme, as well as played Det. Carolyn Barek on Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Her last starring role was on the short-lived show Mental.
