AnnaSophia Robb was born on December 8, 1993 in Denver, Colorado, USA. She competed in dance and gymnastics for four and a half years, but stopped to focus on acting.
She made her acting debut in 2004 in an episode of the television series Drake & Josh. That same year, she played the title character in the television special Samantha: An American Girl Holiday.
In 2005, she landed the role of Violet Beauregarde, the rude gum-chewer in Tim Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
She currently plays young Carrie Bradshaw in the series The Carrie Diaries.
