Biography:
Anne Dudek was born on on March 22, 1975 in Boston, Massachusetts. She began acting on stage productions, then later on Broadway. After achieving success as a stage actress, she switched to television and made her first appearance in an episode of ER. In 2002, she played her first main role on the small screen as Clare in The Book Group. Subsequently, she appeared as a guest star on the TV shows Judging Amy, Six Feet Under, Friends, Desperate Housewives, and Bones.
In the late 2000s, she rose to stardom for playing Dr. Amber Volakis in the popular medical series House. She played the said role until 2012. She next became known for her recurring role, playing Francine Hanson in the award-winning show Mad Men, as well as for her role in HBO’s Big Love as Lura. Continuing her prolific television career, she starred as Danielle Brooks in Covert Affairs. Her films are The Human Stain, White Chicks, and 10 Items or Less.
