Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish singer and songwriter. She had her musical career beginnings in the 1970s, starting out as a member of the new wave band The Tourists. In the 1980s, she gained prominence as the other half of the duo Eurythmics alongside Dave Stewart. The release of the music video “Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)” in 1983 made Lennox a star.
Other hits for Eurythmics were “There Must Be an Angel (Playing with My Heart)” and “Here Comes the Rain Again”. In the 1990s, she pursued a solo career with the 1992 album Diva. At the same time, she sang “Love Song for a Vampire” for Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Throughout her solo career, she’s released studio albums and a compilation album, The Annie Lennox Collection.
