Biography:

Ansel Elgort was born on March 14, 1994 in New York City, New York. He began taking acting classes at the age of 12 and starred in his high school’s production of Guys and Dolls. He went on to perform in the Off-Broadway play, Regrets.

He then made his big screen debut with the 2013 remake of Carrie, in which he starred as Tommy Ross. He gained wider recognition after being cast as Caleb Prior in the upcoming movie Divergent, based on Veronica Roth’s popular young adult novel.

He was also cast as the male lead character, Augustus Waters, in the upcoming movie adaptation of John Green’s novel, The Fault in Our Stars.
