Anson Mount is an American actor. He had his career beginnings in the late 1990s, initially guest-starring in an episode of Ally McBeal and Sex and the City. His first recurring role was as Dr. Montville in Third Watch. In the early 2000s, he had roles in the films Urban Legends: Final Cut, Tully, Boiler Room, and Crossroads. He next starred as Roy Ravelle in the TV series Line of Fire. He also starred as Will Carver in the short-lived series The Mountain. Mount went on to have performances in the films All the Boys Love Mandy Lane, Walk the Talk, and Burning Palms. From 2011 to 2016, he gained wider recognition for starring as Cullen Bohannon in the AMC series Hell On Wheels. He next played the lead role – Black Bolt – in the short-lived series Inhumans. This year, he starred as Captain Christopher Pike in Star Trek: Discovery.
