Biography:

Asa Butterfield was born on April 1, 1997 in Islington, London, England, United Kingdom. He first started acting when he was seven at the Young Actors’ Theatre in his hometown.

He later landed minor roles in the television drama After Thomas and in the television film Son of Rambow. At age 10, he made his breakthrough as Bruno in the film The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas.

He has since starred in other films, including The Wolfman, Hugo, and Ender’s Game. For his role in Hugo, he won the Las Vegas Film Critics Society for Best Youth in Film.
