Biography:

Ashley Madekwe was born on December 6, 1981 in London, England. She attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she gained a BA in acting. She also appeared in several productions including King Henry V and Wuthering Heights while attending school.

She began her acting career in a TV film called Storm Damage. She has since appeared in such television shows as Teachers, Doctors, Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous.

She then landed her first feature film in Woody Allen’s Cassandra’s Dream, and played the role of Vicky in 2008’s film How to Lose Friends & Alienate People. From 2011 to 2013, she played Ashley Davenport in Revenge.
