Biography:

Asin was born on October 26, 1985 in Cochin, Kerala, India. She had her first commercial success with the 2003 Telugu film Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi.

For her work in Amma Nanna O Tamila Ammayi, she won a Filmfare Best Telugu Actress Award. The following year, she debuted in the Tamil cinema, with her first film M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi. She also received the Filmfare Best Tamil Actress Award for her work in this film.

In 2008, she made her Bollywood debut in the film Ghajini. The film became commercially successful and earned her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
