Biography:

Auli’i Cravalho was born on November 22, 2000 in Oahu, Honolulu County, Hawaii, Hawaii, United States. She was a student at a high school in Hawaii. During this time, she auditioned for the title role in the movie Moana. Though she initially did not audition, she was discovered at a charity contest. After this, she was encouraged to go through with the audition.

She ended up getting the role. This proved to be her breakthrough as the film was both critically and commercially successful. She reprised her role in the short animated film Gone Fishing. It has been recently announced that she landed a starring role in the pilot for the TV series Drama High.
