Biography:
Ben Affleck was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California. He first garnered attention when he starred in Kevin Smith films Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Dogma.
In 1997, he gained international fame when he won the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting, which he co-wrote with actor Matt Damon.
He then went on to achieve further fame for his roles in such films as Armageddon, Pearl Harbor, Changing Lanes, The Sum of All Fears and Daredevil. He also gained acclaim for his directorial work in Gone Baby Gone, The Town and Argo.
