Biography:

Bhumika Chawla was born on August 21, 1978 in New Delhi, India. She moved to Mumbai in 1997 and began her career as a model where she appeared in various ads and music videos.

In 2000, her film career started with her debut in the Telugu feature Yuvakudu. The following year, she appeared in Badri, marking her first Tamil movie. She then gained acclaim for her performance in the Telugu movie Khushi, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

She went on to make her Bollywood debut with the 2003 film Tere Naam, receiving a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Actress.
