Biography:
Bill Hader was born on June 7, 1978 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, United States. After high school, he attended The Art Institute of Phoenix before taking an entertainment program at the Scottsdale Community College. Because he originally wanted to become a filmmaker, he left school to move to Los Angeles where he worked as a production assistant in a couple of films.
He then joined comedy troupe Second City, which led him to be discovered for Saturday Night Live. In 2005, he started appearing in Saturday Night Live, for which he gained mainstream recognition. He stayed in the show until 2013. Also, he started acting on the big screen, making his film debut in You, Me and Dupree. He has since appeared in comedy and romantic comedy films like Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Tropic Thunder, and played in George Armstrong Custer in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. His most recent films are Accidental Love and Trainwreck.
