American actor and singer Blake Jenner had her career beginnings in the 2010s. He made his acting debut in an episode of the sitcom Melissa & Joey. He then joined The Glee Project, which led him to land the role of Ryder Lynn in the TV series Glee. This marked his breakthrough on television. At the same time, he also made his cinematic debut in the movie Cousin Sarah.

His first notable role in the big screen was as Jake Bradford in Richard Linklater’s Everybody Wants Some!!. That same period, he also starred in the movie The Edge of Seventeen, earning him further fame. This year, he starred in the movies Sidney Hall and Juvenile, the latter of which he also wrote and produced. He’s also appeared in two episodes of Supergirl as Adam Foster.

The actor revealed he was skinny when he was younger. If you’ve seen him in his present films like The Edge of Seventeen, you’d know that it isn’t the case anymore. In fact, he’s remarkably transformed his body into a manly, bulky one. He admitted he started getting his fitness done right when he was cast for the movie Everybody Wants Some!!. As for the cardio he did, he explained: “I was running, hiking a lot. Running miles and miles. Even in Austin I’d wake up much earlier than my call time and go for a run. I’d hike—and I still do this now—with a 40-lb. vest on.”

He added: “I wasn’t trying to get bulky or anything, so I was trying to stay away from any heavy foods, heavy weights. I was trying to just get that lean look going on so I was eating light, a lot of salmon, chicken, vegetables, egg whites, quinoa. Running. I did do jiu-jitsu for a little while. That was a main source of cardio and getting the muscles working out without having to lift actual weight. All the grappling and wrestling involved with it. That was a good source of exercise I got.”
