Biography:
Blake Shelton was born on June 18, 1976. He wrote his first song when he was 15. He went to Nashville after high school to start a career in country music. In 2001, his debut single “Austin” was released from his self-titled debut album. The song peaked atop the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. His subsequent albums released over the years have since become commercial successes.
For his work in the country music industry, he has been nominated for a Grammy six times. He has also released extended plays in addition to full-length studio albums. Being an established country music icon, he has also appeared as a judge in numerous singing competitions like Nashville Star and Clash of the Choirs, though it was in The Voice that he gained further fame.
