Biography:
Brit Marling was born on August 7, 1983 in Chicago, Illinois, U.S.. After completing her college degree, she went to Los Angeles to become an actress and a screenwriter. In 2011, she gained recognition for starring, co-writing, and producing the indie movie Another Earth, which won her the San Diego Film Critics Society Award for Best Actress. As a writer and producer, she was nominated for Best First Feature and Best First Screenplay at the Independent Spirit Awards.
She once again received notice for her acting and writing in the movie Sound of My Voice, earning her two more Independent Spirit Award nominations. In 2012, she starred as Brooke Miller in Arbitrage and Rebecca Osborne in The Company You Keep. She rose to further stardom for her roles in The Better Angels, I Origins, and The Keeping Room. She’s also credited as the co-writer and producer for the film The East. In 2014, she played Liz Garvey in the miniseries Babylon.
