Biography:

Bruce Willis was born on March 19, 1955 in Idar-Oberstein, West Germany. He started his career on television starting with the TV show Moonlighting in 1985.

He then made his film debut in the 1987 movie Blind Date. The following year, his role as John McClane in Die Hard catapulted him to stardom. In 1989, he received his first Golden Globe nomination for his role in the film In Country.

He has since appeared in notable films, including Pulp Fiction, 12 Monkeys, The Fifth Element, Armageddon, The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Sin City, Moonrise Kingdom and Looper, among others.
