Biography:

Caterina Scorsone was born on October 16, 1981 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She studied at the Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts where she performed on school productions. She then enrolled at the Trinity College in the University of Toronto. There, she completed her Literary Studies degree.

She initially started her acting career in the ’90s where she appeared in TV films and some shows. She then appeared in 4 episodes of Goosebumps. In 1998, she made her film debut in The Hairy Bird. Her first regular role on TV was as Michelle Parker on the Canadian series Power Play. She next starred on the Canadian series 1-800-Missing. In the 2010s, she became further known for starring on the American shows Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy as Amelia Shepherd.
