Biography:
Chantal Kreviazuk was born on May 18, 1974 in Winnipeg, Canada. In 1997, her first album Under These Rocks and Stones came out, which went on to become successful, earning her recognition as a singer. The album generated the singles “God Made Me”, “Believer”, “Wayne”, “Surrounded” and “Hands” with “Surrounded” becoming the most successful. She was then nominated for Best New Artist at the Juno Awards.
Two years later, she released her second album Colour Moving and Still. The album saw her collaborating with her husband Our Lady Peace lead singer Raine Maida. The lead song “Before You” became a smash hit in Canada. This time, she won Best Adult/Pop Album and Best Female Artist at the Juno Awards. In 2002, she released her third album What If It All Means Something. She performed the hit song “In This Life” on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She’s also best known for her cover of “Leaving on a Jet Plane”, which appeared on the soundtrack of Armageddon.
