Chord Overstreet was born on February 17, 1989 in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S. He started his career as a model in his teenage years where he modeled for such brands as Famous Footwear and Gap.

He then began his acting career as Josh Hollis in the web series Private. In 2009, he made his feature film debut in the thriller The Hole. He also starred in the 2011 movie A Warrior’s Heart, playing the role of Dupree.

He gained widespread recognition for his role as Sam Evans in the musical-comedy drama Glee. He has been playing the role since 2010.
