Biography:

Chris Noth was born on November 13, 1954 in Madison, Wisconsin, U.S. Originally aspiring to become a writer or poet, he instead discovered acting and decided he wanted to become an actor. After performing on some stage productions, he started making minor appearances in movies during the 1980s. The following decade, he got his breakthrough as Mike Logan in the NBC series Law & Order.

After this, he even gained wider recognition for starring as Mr. Big in Sex and the City. He reprised his role in the film Sex and the City and its sequel. On television, he also reprised his role as Mike Logan in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. From 2009 to 2016, his television career further flourished with his role as Peter Florrick in The Good Wife. He recently starred as William Bishop in the TV series The Equalizer.
