Biography:

Chris Pine was born on August 26, 1980 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He attended University of California, Berkeley where he received his bachelor’s degree in English. He also studied at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.

He made his acting debut in 2003 when he landed a guest spot in the medical drama ER. He followed this with roles in the short film Why Germany? and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement.

He gained wider prominence after being cast as James T. Kirk in the 2009 film Star Trek, for which he was nominated for Best Breakout Star at the MTV Movie Awards.
