American actress Christina Applegate started her career when she was just a baby. She practically grew up in the show business, appearing on film and television throughout the late 1970s and 1980s. During the ‘80s, she was mostly known for her starring role as Kelly Bundy in the sitcom Married… with Children. She was around 16 when she first played the part. The show ran from 1987 to 1997 for 11 seasons. That’s more than a decade. After the show ended, she starred in her own show, Jessie, in which she also co-produced. It aired from 1998 to 2000. During the 2000s, she became more prolific on the big screen, with starring roles in The Sweetest Thing, Wonderland, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy, and The Rocker. Before the decade ends, she starred in another show called Samantha Who?, in which she played the lead from 2007 to 2009. She also served as producer. Her next television role was in Up All Night from 2011 to 2012. In addition, she also had starring roles in the comedies Hall Pass and Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues.
Standing at 5’5, the 44-year-old veteran actress has a way of making her age agree with her. She looks fabulous than ever, youthful, and charming even. Being a mother of one, Christina mostly adheres to healthy habits to set a good example to her daughter, and of course, to stay fit and healthy. With her acting and producing credits, the beautiful mother is surely busy as a bee, so how does someone like her keep it steady? More importantly, how does she stay in shape? Interestingly, the actress practices a macrobiotic diet, in which whole cereal grains like brown rice is mostly eaten, in addition to veggies.
She said she began practicing this diet after she was diagnosed of cancer in 2008. She thought it wasn’t that big of a change because she has always been a healthy eater, but this diet is more of being geared up to healing, which really worked well for her. However, Christina doesn’t implement this into her daily dietary regimen so strictly. She goes off it whenever she feels like during the week as she recognizes the fact that indulging into her cravings and other favorite snacks is also important. She has since been cancer-free after a double mastectomy.
