Christopher Walken is an American actor. His career spans decades, starting in the 1950s with roles in television and theater. In 1969, he made his film debut in Me and My Brother. In the ’70s, he’s had notable performances in the films Annie Hall, The Sentinel, and The Deer Hunter. For his role in The Deer Hunter, Walken received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
He became further known the following decade, starring in the movies Heaven’s Gate, The Dead Zone, A View to a Kill, and At Close Range. In the ’90s, he starred in Batman Returns, True Romance, Pulp Fiction, Antz, and Vendetta. In 2002, he played Frank William Abagnale Sr. in Steven Spielberg’s Catch Me If You Can. Other notable film performances were in Man on Fire, Wedding Crashers, Click, Hairspray, and Balls of Fury. In 2014, he portrayed Gyp DeCarlo in Clint Eastwood’s Jersey Boys.
