Biography:
Claire Foy was born on April 16, 1984 in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, UK. She attended Liverpool John Moores University. There, she studied drama and screen studies. She also trained at the Oxford School of Drama for a year. Naturally, she began her career on UK television. Her first significant role was on the British miniseries Little Dorrit.
Her next roles were on the TV movies Going Postal and Pulse in 2010. She next starred on the British drama series Upstairs Downstairs. In 2011, she made her film debut in Season of the Witch. This was also her American debut. Subsequently, she had roles in the movies Wreckers, Vampire Academy, and Rosewater. She also joined the main cast of the American TV series Crossbones. The show, however, didn’t last. She will portray Elizabeth II in the upcoming series The Crown.
