Clara Rugaard-Larsen was born in 1998 in Hellerup, Denmark. She started her acting career in 2013, debuting in the Danish film Min søsters børn i Afrika. She next appeared on the Danish series Go’ morgen Danmark. In 2016, she made her international debut in the American-British movie The Lodge.

She had her first starring role as Juliet Capulet in the short-lived ABC series Still Star-Crossed. That same year, she appeared in the feature film Good Favour. In 2018, she played the role of Roxy in the movie Teen Spirit. This year, she starred in the feature film I Am Mother as Daughter.
