Biography:
Clive Owen was born on October 3, 1964 in Keresley, Coventry, Warwickshire, England, UK. He first gained recognition in the UK as a result of his portrayal of the lead role in the ITV series Chancer.
He followed this with another acclaimed performance in the 1991 film Close My Eyes. He then rose to international fame after being cast in the 1998 film Croupier.
He went on to star in the 2004 film Closer, for which he won a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor, as well as an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
