Biography:
Colin Farrell was born on May 31, 1976 in Castleknock, Dublin, Ireland. He began his career when he appeared in BBC’s Ballykissangel in 1998. He then made his film debut in The War Zone the following year.
In 2000, he was cast in Joel Schumacher’s Tigerland, and was reunited with Schumacher again in the 2002 film Phone Booth, followed by the thrillers S.W.A.T. and The Recruit, all films becoming box-office hits.
He went on to receive his first Golden Globe Award for Best Actor for his performance in the 2008 film In Bruges, playing the role of Ray.
